Missions

As a part of Centerpoint, you are helping love and lead people all over the world to a life-changing connection with Christ. From Africa to Asia to the public high school campuses here in Murrieta, Centerpoint is actively bringing the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ to the lost. There are many opportunities for you to become a missionary – both locally and globally.

  • Reach out to your neighboring community by helping our MERCY ministry distribute food and clothing to the needy in Lake Elsinore.
  • Accompany our Prison and Family ministry to a local prison or detention center to lead a Bible Study and encourage inmates in their faith.
  • Help construct a home for the poor in Mexico. Bring your family to help build right here in the church parking lot, or accompany the set up team as they put it together across the border.
  • Apply to be a part of one of our international teams and journey overseas to live and share the gospel with the people of Africa, Asia, or Haiti on a short-term trip.
  • Support one of our missionaries who have devoted their lives to reaching the unreached with God’s love. You can learn more about our Missionaries here. Download a complete list of Influence Opportunities here.
  • Be a part of the Missions Team and help us create and develop new opportunities for the people at Centerpoint to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 28:19)

    M.E.R.C.Y.

Influence is a core part of who we are at Centerpoint, and while we want to influence the world far and wide with the love of Jesus Christ, we recognize that "charity begins at home." To this end, we've raised up a M.E.R.C.Y. Team. That stands for Mobile Equipping Resource Center for You! We have two trailers that we load up with bags of groceries, or BBQ equipment, or clothes and household goods, or Bibles, or all of the above, and we head out every 6 weeks or so for outreach to those in need. We often do these outreaches in some of the lakeside campgrounds in Lake Elsinore where families are living in tents, or the main street park in Lake Elsinore. We usually bring a team of 30-40 people to serve a meal, distribute groceries, share God's Word, and distribute clothes or other needed items. This is just part of how we envision God's calling for us to take care of the poor.

If you would like more information in how you can get involved in our M.E.R.C.Y. Ministry, please contact our M.E.R.C.Y. Ministry Leader, Tina Nicholas.

    Mexico House Build

Our church is engaged in a variety of overseas ministry opportunities, but our Mexico outreach has become a staple of who we are. About four times per year we build a house for a family in need in Mexico, usually in the Ensenada area barrios. We have partnered with Hands of Mercy and Pouring Out Hope to engage in these outreaches. Our apporach is unique; we have a housebuild day in our church parking lot where about 50 people come build the house in components. The peices are then stacked on a trailer and then a month later we take a team of 25 people down to Mexico where we then build and install the house, complete with patio, loft, plumbing and electricity, if available. If you're a part of Centerpoint, we hope you will get in on the action of outreach with our Mexico Housebuild trips!
